Why do you have to eat amaranth
This is a terrific plant. Apart from the fact that amaranth does not contain gluten, it is characterized by a high content of beneficial and nutrients, among which are:

  • calcium;
  • magnesium;
  • iron;
  • carotenoids;
  • cellulose.

The plant is a unique “product” with a high protein content. In addition, it is the only plant that contains vitamin C.

Given this composition, it is not surprising that amaranth is incredibly beneficial to health. It provides the body with vitamins B6, which is very important for the production of serotonin – it is he who has a positive effect on a person’s mood and the quality of his sleep.

It also contains vitamin B1 or thiamine – an important element for the full functioning of the nervous system. It is necessary to highlight the high content of vitamin B2 or riboflavin – it helps our body to obtain such important energy.

  • 8.2 grams of protein.

How to cook amaranth
If the preparation of amaranth seeds is meant, then there is nothing difficult about it. Initially, they need to soak for several hours – this is necessary in order to neutralize the saponin. This is a natural component, due to which the amaranth grain can appear bitter aftertaste.
