Автор - | 07.03.2019

Amaranth has a fascinating story explaining why a plant is not as well known today as it might have been, considering how useful and saturated it is with vitamins, microelements and other substances necessary for the human body.

Today we will tell you about amazing and effective recipes of beauty. They will help you to become even more attractive! But before – a little history.

Amaranth and his unusual and even tragic story

This ancient grain was cultivated hundreds of years ago by the Aztecs. They used it not only as food and medicine, but also as part of their religious ceremonies.

For example, one of the American sites says that once the Aztecs built statues of their deities, using amaranth and honey for this! Religious rituals were performed near these statues, and then they were smashed and handed out pieces for food.

Perhaps this is why amaranth was consigned to oblivion and ceased to be used as a food product. After all, when the Spaniards, led by Cortez, arrived on the American continent, they, first of all, began to force the Aboriginal people to Christianity. And since the Indians used amaranth grain in religious ceremonies, the colonialists decided to declare the plant “outlawed.”

In their attempts to destroy the grain and force the Aztecs to forget about it, the Spaniards burned all the amaranth fields they could find. In fact, officially amaranth was not grown until the middle of the last century, when in the United States they again began to cultivate the plant and spread it!

Why is amaranth so popular in cosmetology?
From amaranth you can get a lot of useful products:

  • butter;
  • croup;
  • eat leaves raw, etc.

For example, amaranth oil is able to fully transform the skin and hair, giving a person a natural well-groomed and beautiful look! To achieve the same result with the use of chemical, artificial cosmetics is almost impossible.

The same amaranth leaves are great for making a healthy and tasty salad. Unusual porridges are made from grains. They are also added to cocktails. And it is from the grains that the miraculous butter is literally obtained!

Thus, many researchers argue that amaranth oil contains the highest concentration of squalene – a unique Amaranth oil substance, which, in addition to amaranth, is found only in the liver of a deep-sea shark. It is squalene that allows you to suspend the aging process and prevent premature wrinkles. It is a true anti-cancer agent.

Note! Eating amaranth in food or just adding oil to cocktails, salad dressings will significantly improve the condition of your skin and hair, nourishing it from the inside!

Amaranth is also useful for human hair. After all, it contains such a substance as lysine – it is a very rare amino acid. Our body is not able to produce it in a natural way. But it is very important because it increases the efficiency of calcium absorption and helps to maintain hair on the head, strengthening the follicles and preventing baldness in men!
