Spring brings us joy from the abundance of greenery and flowering, but along with this – the manifestations of allergies. This is well known to people with heightened sensitivity: pollen at the slightest breeze of the breeze causes coughing, tearing, and even suffocation. Reducing and even preventing such phenomena is quite possible with timely measures taken. Amaranth-based products are excellent helpers in this regard: their effectiveness has been proven in practice.
Omega-6 and other components of amaranth
One of the best ways to combat allergy has long been recognized as the use of natural omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Especially valuable is gamma linolenic acid. Once in the body, it turns into prostaglandin E1, which is one of the most powerful protective substances. This active substance has a pronounced anti-allergic effect, prevents the development of the inflammatory process, contributes to the stabilization of cell membranes, and as a result, the cells become more resistant to allergens and toxins.
In addition, when using products from amaranth and using products based on it, Omega-6 reduces the formation of blood clots and decreases the ability of cells to accumulate in areas of inflammation, and at the same time, the walls of blood vessels and bronchi relax. Therefore, by providing the body with Omega-6 acids, we will not only reduce the risk of allergic reactions, but also prevent or stop the development of a number of diseases. Among them:
• rheumatoid arthritis;
• bronchial asthma;
• gastric and duodenal ulcer;
• malignant tumor.
Omega-6 fatty acids also help strengthen the heart and nervous system, improve rehabilitation after surgery, slow down the aging process.
However, amaranth contains not only Omega-6 fatty acids, but also Omega-3 acids, which are necessary for a balanced effect of the first set of components. If the body is deficient in omega-3 acids, resistance to the harmful effects of the environment is reduced, and one of the manifestations of this is allergic skin rashes. With omega-3 fatty acids, the body also receives reinforcements for the heart, blood vessels, joints, the nervous system, as well as hair and nails.
The effect of allergens could not be neutralized without the help of another important component – squalene, which saturates the body with oxygen, which can protect the body from the harmful effects of external factors. Due to the properties of this substance, amaranth is considered a powerful immunostimulant and antioxidant. In addition, squalene has the ability to quickly restore the affected tissue.
Amaranth also contains other substances, thanks to which harmful substances are quickly eliminated from the body and the immune system is strengthened. The plant contains 10 types of vitamins, as well as minerals such as:
For example, zinc is involved in metabolism, and, it is highly resistant to external influences. Selenium is necessary for ensuring an antioxidant effect, copper regulates the work of practically all the organs important for life, sodium ensures the functioning of the whole organism. Other qualities present in the amaranth composition also have important qualities.
Oil as the main tool in the fight against allergies
All substances necessary for the body are contained in the oil in a concentrated form. Therefore, it is considered an excellent means to clean the body and prevent many disorders and allergic reactions. Especially important is the use of oil in spring and autumn, when the body forces are weakened. However, choosing the oil, you should consider what task it will perform – therapeutic or prophylactic. So, experts say that an oil with 1-percent squalene content (1000 mg / 100 g) is more suitable for treatment. This concentration has sufficient antioxidant activity and can inhibit the development of the disease at the cellular level. For prevention, amaranth oil is often used with a lower content of squalene (0.25-0.5%).
For medicinal purposes, amaranth oil can be taken 1 dessert spoon 2-3 times a day, and so on for a month. Such courses are recommended 2-3 times a year. To prevent allergies, it is enough to take 1 tsp oil 2-3 times a day half an hour before meals. You can add it to the finished dishes – salads, snacks, cereals.
If a manifestation of spring allergy becomes a rash on the skin, external application of amaranth oil is practiced. The tool is used in fabric dressings and applications for wiping problem areas. In any case, the oil can be on the skin for 20 minutes, and then its remnants are removed using a clean cloth or a damp cloth.
